SEA  OF  GALILEE

The Sea of Galilee (Tiberias)
is a lake (686 feet below sea level)
in northern Israel through which the Jordan River flows.
The lake enjoys a pleasant climate, fertile soil in the surrounding fields and relatively abundant water.
Many episodes in the life of Christ took place on or around this historic lake.
