| (11) |
Persecution |
Great persecution by the Caesars for 200
years - but even those by whose hands they died
were often converted, and the church grew. |
| (12) |
Compromise |
When Constantine made the state religion a
mixture of Christianity and
paganism.
This sent the entire world into what is called the "dark ages."
It wasn't until God revealed to Martin Luther that "THE
JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH" that the light began again to dawn,
and ushered in what is referred to regarding knowledge as the
"Renaissance" and regarding Christianity as the "Reformation." |
It is interesting to note that of all of Satan’s attempts to destroy the
Church of the Living God, the one that came closest to succeeding was
COMPROMISE!
BUT GOD IS VICTORIOUS
AND SO IS HIS CHURCH!
